Album

Ella and Duke at the Cote D'Azur is a 1967 live album by Ella Fitzgerald, accompanied by the big band of Duke Ellington. It was recorded live at the Jazz à Juan festival at Juan-les-Pins, on the French Riviera, between June 26 and July 29, 1966. Earlier in the year, Fitzgerald and Ellington had recorded their only other live album together, The Stockholm Concert, 1966, in Stockholm. Ella & Duke At The Cote d'Azur - Ella Fitzgerald, Duke Ellington. Лента с персональными рекомендациями и музыкальными новинками, радио, подборки на любой вкус, удобное управление своей коллекцией. Ellington has eight numbers for his band, mostly remakes of older tunes including a guest appearance by former associate Ben Webster on All Too Soon, a remarkable Buster Cooper trombone feature, and a rowdy version of The Old Circus Train Turn-Around Blues. This is a spirited set of music that with better planning could have been great.
